Loppet Weekend begins with ice bike race. Riders will circle a brief monitoring of ice located on the west side of Lake Calhoun – near Loppet Village.
Ice bicycle racing is the opportunity for winter season commuters, cyclists pining for summer and a person with a penchant for thrills having some fun on a cool cold weather day. Heats of 8-15 bikers circle a circuitous track in a criterium format. The utmost effective bikers from each heat go on to the next round. The final lap determines which riders ensure it is towards finals. The finals of this Ice Loppet will take place prior to the Chuck & Don’s Skijoring Loppet – meaning outstanding chance for spectating also – see both the flowing of the dogs and also the turning of this tires in one single spot.

No race-day registration for the Penn Ice-Cycle Loppet.
Registration and transaction fees tend to be nonrefundable, including in case of termination. Registration is not transferable to some other individual or any other occasion for almost any reason, including damage. Competing under another person’s title can lead to disqualification.

- 11:40 Intermediate Men temperature 1 (15 min.)

- 12:40 Intermediate guys Final (20 min.)
- 1:10 Advanced Men Final (30 min.)
- 1:45 Women’s Race (All Categories) (20 mins)
